VF Honored as a ‘World’s Most Ethical Company’

March 20, 2017

Managing a business with integrity is the key to running an ethical company, and for VF Corporation, that approach paid off with a prestigious honor.

The Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, honored VF as a 2017 World’s Most Ethical Company®. VF is one of only three companies in the apparel sector to earn the honor, emphasizing the company’s commitment to leading ethical business standards and practices at every level.

“At VF, we strive to lead by example by embedding responsible practices and behaviors into everything we do,” said Steve Rendle, VF’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are honored to be recognized by the Ethisphere Institute for the work our associates lead across VF and our brands to manage our global business with integrity.”

The Ethisphere Institute’s Ethics Quotient® (EQ) framework is used to assess companies in an objective, consistent and standardized manner.

The information collected provides a comprehensive sampling of definitive criteria of core competencies in the areas of corporate governance, risk, sustainability, compliance and ethics. The organization generates scores based on five key categories: ethics and compliance program, corporate citizenship and responsibility, culture of ethics, governance and leadership, innovation and reputation.
