VF Ranks #20 on 2016 InformationWeek Elite 100

May 18, 2016

VF has ranked number 20 on this year’s InformationWeek Elite 100. The list identifies and honors the most innovative users of information technology in the U.S.

“We are proud to be recognized as a top company on InformationWeek’s Elite 100 list,” said Martin Schneider, Vice President and Chief Information Officer. “Our Global Business Technologies (GBT) team works tirelessly with our businesses around the globe to develop innovative solutions that meet their business needs.”

This ranking recognizes VF for its new e-commerce platform, which provides VF’s brands with one common enterprise approach to building and managing its brand websites. The platform enables greater flexibility, speed to market and helps drive customer satisfaction through e-commerce, which is part of VF’s Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. Currently, DTC represents about 30 percent of VF’s overall revenue.

VF’s new e-commerce platform is currently implemented for an initial set of brands. The company plans to add additional brands to the platform. With operations in more than 170 countries, the platform enables VF to launch sites in multiple geographies and currencies, while seamlessly integrating VF’s supply chain operations.
