Arens Named Global Brand President of The North Face

May 15, 2017

Arne Arens

A seven-year veteran of The North Face® with deep marketing, product development and direct-to-consumer experience is the new Global Brand President. In this role, Arne Arens is responsible for leading the global brand vision and strategy to continue to build brand equity and create a consistent, consumer-centric experience for The North Face’s consumers.

Arens joined The North Face in 2010. In March of this year, he was appointed the brand’s Vice President and General Manager for the Americas. In that role, he managed the brand’s Americas business and strategic initiatives for sales, merchandising and direct-to-consumer.

“I am honored to lead the global direction for the world’s most authentic and iconic outdoor brand,” Arens said. “The North Face brand teams work hard every day to inspire people to explore the outdoors and equip them with innovative products. With our new strategic focus and operational rigor, I know that together we will guide the brand into our next phase of global growth.”

Before joining VF, Arens spent eight years in Europe in marketing, sales and category roles for Nike. Prior to joining Nike, he served in consulting roles across a range of industries and geographies.

Arens will continue to report to Scott Baxter, Vice President, VF and Group President, Outdoor & Action Sports Americas. About the appointment, Baxter said, “I am confident that Arne’s passion for and deep understanding of the outdoor marketplace, coupled with his management expertise and operational agility, make him ideally suited to unlock new opportunities and accelerate growth for The North Face around the world.”
