Creating our products in an ethical and sustainable manner is integral to our business strategy. Through a comprehensive process that traces key individual raw materials to the final product, we aim to build a purpose-led supply chain that improves the livelihood of two million people in the communities in which our workers live by 2030, while also giving our consumers confidence in the origins of our products.

Traceability gives us visibility into every aspect of our supply chain, identifying areas that need to be addressed and improved. It’s no easy process, given that our global supply chain spans across approximately 40 countries and includes thousands of suppliers, but we continually strive to achieve full traceability from raw material to retail.
In 2018, we published product-sourcing maps for nine of our most iconic brands. Currently, we’re extending our transparency mapping to cover more VF brands and their best-selling products. By the end of 2021, we intend to have over 100 products mapped from origination to store.
Ultimately, we’re working toward full traceability of all VF products and the creation of a knowledge base that can be shared with our stakeholders and partners in order to collaboratively drive positive impact. We believe the benefits reaped from traceability are boundless.
