Giving Tuesday: Meet the VF Foundation’s 2025 Grantees
In honor of Giving Tuesday, we’re proud to spotlight the VF Foundation’s latest impact - nearly $3 million granted to 37 organizations around the world in partnership with VF’s people and brands. Since its inception, The VF Foundation, the private grantmaking organization funded by VF Corporation, has been investing in communities around the globe, supporting organizations and causes that help create a more active, inclusive and sustainable future.
“We’re fueling a vision where the outdoors is within reach for every child, where recovery leads to renewal, fashion circularity becomes the standard, and local leaders are empowered to create vibrant communities and a healthier planet.” said Gloria Schoch, Executive Director of The VF Foundation and Senior Director of Global Impact at VF Corporation.
Highlighted below are some of the 2025 grantees, all working to advance progress towards the VF Foundation's priority areas.
Thriving Outside
The VF Foundation works to lift barriers to outdoor exploration and foster career opportunities in fashion and trades. In 2025 The Foundation invested in the following organizations:
- Fashion Scholarship Fund Community Colleges Initiative to foster an inclusive pipeline of U.S. talent for the fashion industry by supporting young adults of promise pursuing less-traditional educational pathways.
- The National Parks Foundation to connect 300,000 students across the U.S. to meaningful and memorable experiences in nature during a time when children are spending less time in the outdoors than ever before, in partnership with The North Face® and their Power of Nature platform.
- NoisyVision to provide the sensory disability community the opportunity to explore nature through inclusive hiking experiences in Italy, in partnership with Timberland®.
- Trust for Public Land to launch a National Trail Activation Fund, in partnership with Altra®, to expand America’s Trail Networks through portfolio of 150 active trail projects across the country. VF Corporation employees are volunteering their time to help restore trails on public lands that touch this program.
Protecting our Planet
The VF Foundation is investing in education, research, and circular and regenerative practices in fashion and apparel, including promising innovations in reducing textile waste, supporting local farmers and fueling jobs to advance a sustainable future. Grant recipients in this space include:
- Wildmon to pioneer a data-driven approach to biodiversity monitoring in regenerative rubber landscapes, equipping smallholder farmers in Thailand with cutting-edge ecoacoustic technology and AI-powered tools. By developing a standardized Biodiversity Index and empowering local communities through training and capacity building, this pilot is setting a new global benchmark for biodiversity accountability—helping farmers, brands, and supply chains make informed decisions that protect ecosystems and advance sustainable agriculture.
- Industrial Commons Material Return to fund the creation and implementation of a digital inventory system to set new standards for tracking, tracing and validating the reuse of textile waste through its lifecycle and achieve Recycling Claims Standard (RCS) certification to extend the life cycle of U.S. made products in the market and fuel jobs, in partnership with Smartwool®.
- Forum for the Future to seed the establishment of The Center for Redefining Business Models where businesses can collaborate to learn from each other and incubate and test ideas on new, scalable regenerative and circular models in partnership with Business for Social Responsibility (BSR).
Powering Potential
The VF Foundation is committed to uplifting under-resourced communities globally by breaking down barriers to development and fostering lasting economic progress for future generations. To achieve these goals, we fund organizations that mobilize resources and empower local decision-making and action, including:
- Fair Labor Association’s Harvesting the Future Program, to advance child protection and educational access in India’s cotton sector by establishing Child Labor Free Zones, empowering communities, and driving systemic change to ensure every child can attend school and thrive.
- Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains, to invest in the health, safety and economic resilience of the women who form the backbone of global value chains in Southeast Asia, a first-of-its-kind collaborative funding initiative, bringing together corporate investors, foundations and NGO partners.
- Water.org to provide an estimated 60 million liters per year of volumetric benefit in communities facing water scarcity, giving 10,000 people in Nairobi, Kenya access to improved water and sanitation solutions through microloan programs.
Providing Humanitarian Aid
When disasters strike, the VF Foundation activates coordinated humanitarian relief and recovery efforts to support communities where VF operates globally. These efforts include strategic financial investments, employee matching grants, volunteer engagement, and product donations. This year’s partners include:
- American Red Cross to support the hardest-hit communities impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires delivering life-saving aid, clothing and supplies.
- Outdoor Recreation Roundtable to accelerate the restoration of trails, river access, and outdoor infrastructure impacted by Hurricane Helene in rural Western North Carolina. Through the Rebuilding and Recovery MicroGrant Program, this investment empowers local leaders to reconnect people with nature, revitalize outdoor-based economies, and build long-term community resilience.
- The Outdoor Foundation to fund the Thrive Outside Initiative in Western North Carolina to expand outdoor access for youth and families through trusted school and nonprofit partners and helping communities recover and reconnect to nature post Hurricane Helene.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in supporting organizations that inspire positive change and strengthen communities worldwide this holiday season.
