VF Corporation Government Affairs and Political Activity

VF Corporation (“VF” or the “Company”) engages in government affairs to help shape public policy in ways that support our Company, industry, and the consumers and communities we serve. Through engagement with public officials and their staff at the national, regional, and local levels, VF works to ensure our perspectives are heard and understood by governments and policymakers around the world. Our government affairs activities are guided by the Company’s business interests and values and are conducted without regard to the personal political preferences of its leadership team and aligned with our legal obligations, our Values, and our Code of Business Conduct. Members of VF’s senior leadership team receive periodic updates from subject matter experts on VF’s government affairs strategy and activities, which are overseen by our Chief Operating Officer.

Our policy priorities reflect issues relevant to our business, including trade, human rights, outdoor recreation, conservation, climate, privacy and digital policy.

Our Chief Operating Officer, a direct report of VF’s President and Chief Executive Officer, has overall responsibility for government affairs activities. Members of VF’s senior leadership team receive periodic updates from subject matter experts on VF’s government affairs strategy and activities.

VF’s Government Affairs and Political Activity compliance program includes policies, procedures, and training designed to support compliance with legal reporting requirements, political spending directives, public disclosure obligations, and risk-based third-party due diligence requirements. Relevant departments, functions, and individuals across VF receive training and resources on corporate and personal political activity, lobbying, gifts, travel and entertainment involving covered officials, and participation in trade and industry organizations.

Political Activity

VF’s political activity and lobbying are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, internal policies and procedures, sound corporate governance practice and our high standards of ethical conduct. Our engagement is focused on advancing public policy priorities relevant to VF’s business, industry, consumers and communities.

At times, VF employs lobbyists and retains external lobbying firms to support our government affairs priorities. VF’s registered lobbyists file required activity reports with the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives (opens in new window), Secretary of the U.S. Senate (opens in new window), and applicable state offices when required. U.S. lobbying activity conducted by VF employees is tracked through an internal compliance system.

  • Principles Governing Our Approach to Political Expenditure Include the Following

    • VF does not participate in electioneering communication to our employees or anyone outside the Company.
