VF Internship Program Provides College Students with Career Opportunities

April 25, 2016

This summer, more than 20 college students will have the opportunity to gain real world experience in global business functions such as sustainability, human resources, finance and more as part of VF’s Corporate Internship Program in Greensboro, N.C. During the 10-week paid program, interns will lead and manage a project for their business unit, with opportunities to share and present their findings to their managers.

Intern Success Story: Whitney Wright

“Interns have always been an invaluable source of talent for VF,” said Tom Young, Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition at VF Corporation. “VF’s internship program at our World Headquarters provides students with experience in their fields of interest while also gaining exposure to broader parts of an apparel and footwear company.”

Interns will be placed on VF Corporate and Services teams, such as Global Business Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Legal, Sustainability and Strategy & Consumer Insights. Through the Global Internship Program, interns will receive training, contribute to global projects and interact with multiple functions, associates and executives throughout the organization.

As part of the program, VF has partnered with Action Greensboro, a non-profit organization that champions a variety of initiatives aimed at enhancing the city’s quality of life, including programs to attract and retain young professionals. VF is offering five internships to local college students through Action Greensboro’s most recent initiative, the Opportunity Greensboro Summer Fellows Program.

The VF Global Internship Program will run from June 6 to August 12, 2016. A limited number of full-time offers will be extended at the end of the program.

Applications are due April 30. Candidates can apply at www.vfc.com/careers.
