Describe the responsibilities of a Senior Product Manager.

In my current role, I manage the entire production process for men’s denim – from conception to execution, including trend spotting, product development, retail sell-in and educating Lee’s sales force on the latest products.

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?

Throughout my career, I’ve been focused on product development and merchandising and I’m particularly proud of the advancements I made while working in the boys category for Lee.

To succeed, you need to have innovative and compelling products, maintain great relationships with buyers and have prices that set you apart. During my last year in this category, my team and I were able to grow the business by more than 15 percent.

What role has mentorship played throughout your career?

Mentors at VF have taught me that I need to work hard, but I also need to live hard. Because at the end of the day, our ability to lead and work well is based upon living a fulfilled life.

What is your leadership philosophy?

I believe that empowerment is key to my team’s success, and in my eyes, the degree I’m able to support them is the measurement of true achievement.

I’m fortunate to work with a group of smart and talented women. It’s my leadership style to give them the space they need to manage their responsibilities. And at the end of the day, they work for VF, so it’s my role to facilitate their connection to the larger company, promote their growth and as a result – grow Lee.
