Dan Hesse Resigns from VF Corporation Board of Directors to Focus on Business Commitments

GREENSBORO, N.C.--

VF Corporation (NYSE:VFC) today announced that Dan Hesse, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sprint Nextel Corporation, has decided to resign from the VF Board of Directors, effectively immediately, to focus on his business commitments.

Hesse, 54, was elected to VF's Board of Directors in 1999, and served as a member on the Board's Finance and Compensation Committees.
